Dog training classes in Prestatyn, North Wales

My Story

Paws 4 Training first started in 2015 as an outdoor dog training class held at Abandoned Animals, Prestatyn where all proceeds went to the charity.  The classes proved very successful and as well as handlers and dogs from outside the sanctuary, we also had dogs within the sanctuary and were able to give them a good grounding before they went to their ‘forever’ home.  On the back of this success I decided I would like to try and find an indoor venue for instructing, the weather might have had something to do with this decision!  It has taken a long time to secure the right venue suitable for training but at last I have!

I am a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme and qualified with the PDTI (Pet Dog Training Instructors) at Intermediate Level with a Merit.  All three of my dogs are also registered Pets as Therapy Dogs.

Paws 4 Training is also proud to be associated with North Clwyd Animal Rescue. I personally have had an association with them for many years now, having originally taken up a Christmas hamper and came home with a puppy! And yes a puppy is not just for Christmas but for life and we had our lovely little Pip for almost 17 years! North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR ) was founded in 1978 by Anne Owen, starting with one thin little Lurcher and they now care for over 1800 domestic pets a year. Not a bad achievement at all, and not an easy task. As a Pet Dog Training Club, Paws 4 Training is hoping to hold outdoor classes during the warmer months with proceeds going to NCAR. This will especially be open to people rehoming dogs from the charity, but also anyone who wishes to attend. For further details on this contact NCAR.
